CRA3 Mould Release Agent

CRA3 is specifically formulated for use on polypropylene mould liners. It is applied using low-pressure atomised spraying and can be washed away using warm soapy water.

A Typical Precast Fencing Workflow

CRA3 and spacer products support specific preparation stages within a wider manufacturing process controlled by the precast producer’s approved design, casting and quality procedures.

From mould preparation to demoulding

The sequence below is a general overview only. Exact preparation, reinforcement, concrete, curing and demoulding requirements must be determined by the manufacturer’s competent technical team.

Preparation stage

Inspect and Prepare the Mould

Confirm that the mould and liner are clean, correctly assembled and suitable for use before beginning the casting cycle.

Release-agent stage

Apply CRA3 as Directed

Apply CRA3 to the polypropylene liner in accordance with the current product instructions, using the specified application method and an appropriate, controlled coating.

Reinforcement stage

Position the Specified Spacers

Use the spacer format specified for the post and reinforcement design to link and position the reinforcing bars before casting.

Casting stage

Cast to the Approved Specification

Place and compact concrete using the approved mix design, reinforcement arrangement and production procedure established for the finished product.

Curing stage

Cure Under Controlled Conditions

Follow the manufacturer’s documented curing method and do not demould until the product has achieved the required condition for safe handling.

Demould, Inspect and Reset

Demould using the approved handling procedure, inspect the finished component and prepare the mould for its next scheduled production cycle.
